Refinishing services available:
Parkerizing (Either Blackened or charcoal)- This is intended for older military weapons. This finish will resist rust better than bluing. Please note that the gray color produced by the finish may vary with different metals, i.e., the receiver and barrel, slide and frame.
Nickel- Nickel comes in three different finishes (Matt, Brushed, and Bright Polished)
Decorative Chrome- Decorative Chrome what is know in the firearm world as Bright Polished Chrome
Gold- Gold plating that GUNdepot Custom offers comes in 12k and 24k
Hard Chrome- We use chemicals containing new concepts in activators, catalysts, penetrates, inhibitors and rectifiers. The result is an attractive oxide-resistant finish on steel, including low and high carbon steels, alloy steels or hardened steels.
Cerakote- Once this process is complete the finish will not flake, chip, peel, or create any dimensional change. This process creates a more corrosion-resistant, abrasive-resistant. “It’s impervious to chemicals, salts, blood, rain – you name it"Click Here for a some of the colors available.
Bluing- The basic principle behind Bluing is that it oxidizes the metal surface to a corrosion-resistant, decorative finish. The black ("blue") finish is produced by a chemical reaction directly with the iron in the steel to form the black oxide of iron.
